Tier 1 All Stars

Hockeygear and Old Time Hockey played the game of the century for the coveted Tier 1 All Star CHL Championship.   The game was incredible and tied 0-0 after 2 periods with OUTSTANDING goaltending by HG's Scott Romano (33 saves on 34 shots), and OTH's Steve Lanz (31 saves on 33 Shots), causing the game to extend past regulation and go into overtime to decide the winner.  In the third period, OTH Captain PJ Gehris opened up the scoring with help from Anthony Aspromonti giving OTH the 1-0 advantage.   HockeyGear captain and game MVP Luke Vendetto answered back, tying the game 1-1 with an assist from Brian Hopper.   The 3rd period would end 1-1.  In the overtime period at 2:08 Doug Caliendo would score with help from Luke Vendetto to give the Puckolds the Victory.

Tier 2

No Regretzkys comes out flying and defeats the Reapers 10-7 to win the CHL Tier 2 CHampionship.   The Regretz got points from 9 different players in the victory.  MVP honors go to JJ Foster with 7 points (1g, 6 apples).  For the NR's,  Tim Walsh  netted 4 goals, including the game winner, Zach McGrail had 3 assists, and PJ Gehris had 3 goals in the win.  For the Reapers, the slow start was hard to overcome as they fell 4-2 after 1 period.  They did come back towards the end and kept it to within 2 goals, behind Frank Ilnickis 2 goals, James Ilnicki's hat trick, Mike Salvatore's 2 assists, Jake Festas 1 goal and 1 assist, and Captain Alex Yashura's 1 goal.   

Tier 3

The Alers come back from a 0-2 deficit to win the Tier 3 CHL Championship over Loose Cannons in OVERTIME.  Andrew Richard led the way in scoring with a goal and an assist and Brendan Ralph also scored to bring the Alers back.     Dan Vaquez had the game winner in OT with 2:46 left to give the Aler's their Back to Back Championship.  'tender Gary Steinberg gets MVP honors, stopping 16 of 18 shots, holding the LC's scoreless in teh thrid and OT period.  For the Cannons, Zach McGrail and Andrew Volta both scored.

 

Tier 4

In a thrilling Tier 4 championship battle, Honor Them vs. Freeze, the game ended with a tie 3-3 after regulation, sending it into overtime. Honor Them struck first with 2 goals in the first half of the game, but the Freeze took control towards the end, leading to a tense third period. With minutes left in regular time, Honor Them scores with 1:30 left on the clock and ties it up! In overtime, with the Freeze on a roll since the beginning of the 3rd period, Jordan “MVP” Virgulto (2g) scored the game winning goal to secure a 4-3 victory. Congratulations to the Freeze on their Tier 4 Championship title!

 

Tier 5

In the game of the session, the Nailers defeat the Ice Hawks 7-6 to win the CHL Tier 5 Championship.  Brady Collins (2g, 2a) had the game winner in a battle that went back and forth all night.   Nailers led after 1 period 4-2, 6-4 after 2 periods, and the Ice Hawks tied the game 6-6 late in the 3rd.    For the Nailers, other goals were scored by Mike Schlage (2a, 1a), Trevor Piezewicz (2g), and Patrick Alter.  Assists were logged by Dave Campbell, Michael Bilas and Jack Carroll ( 3 apples).   

For the Ice Hawks, Goals were scored by Trevor Suydan, Jeremy Fortin (1g, 2a), Khoi Manchester, Caelon Booth (1g,1a), Kevin Carr (1g,1a), and Will Carpenter.

 

Tier 6

The Storm defeat Night Train 4-1,  empty netter), and win the CHL Tier 6 Championship. The game was well played, 0-0 after 1 period, and Storm led 1-0 after 2 periods. Kevin "Halo" Jones (1g, 1a), scored the game winner in the third and Aiden Berrian added an empty netter for the victory.  Tom "Crash" Balko and Jon "it wasnt me" Merritt also scored in the win, and Justin McCormick added an assist. Mark "Showtime" Berrian stopped 14 of 15 shots in net for the win.   For Night Train, Brad Cooper had the sole goal, a beaut through traffic.

 

Tier 7

The Honey Badgers led by Captain Abe Santos ( 1g,2a, 1pim and game winner), defeat the Slashers 6-3 to win the highly competitive CHL Tier 7 Championship. The Honey Badgers never gave up the lead, leading 2-1 after 1, 5-1 after 2.  HB Goals scored by Jordan Gioia, Nick "Grinder" Edgerton, Percy "whats the shootout rule gain?" Subbarao", Justin Rindos ( 1g, 1a), and Big John Monaco.  Hb assists logged by Bob LaPorta (2a), and Paul Aguliera.   Goaltender Jon Sweeney played magnificent, stopping 17 of 20 Slasher shots.

For the Slashers, goals were scored by Mike Lupone, Cole Sciascia, and Jason Raynard.  Jason Gonzalez and Jason Raynard had apples as well.

 

CWHL

The CWHL Whalers Defeat the TITANS 8-3 to win the CWHL Fall 2024 Championship.  Liv Santini ( 3 g, 1 a) and Allison Roethke (3 g) Led the way in scoring in the win.

 

Tier 8

Big Red defeats Mellow Yellow 6-3 to win the Tier 8 Championship.  The game was well played by both teams and was 2-2 after 1 period, 3-2 after 2 periods. 

Daniel Beecher led the way for Big Red with 4 goals, and Jeffrey Crook and Frederick Shurk also scored in the win.   Josh Brooks had an assist as well. Aaron Mandell played well in net as well, stopping 19 of 22 shots.  

For Mellow Yellow, Tyler Lord had 2 goals, and Matt Rynkowski added a goal and Stephanie Bartone had an assist
